Default 47RE Accumulator Piston o-ring

The accumulator piston in my 99 v10 above the valve body is a plastic one had it "appears" to have two plastic o-ring in it. Each o-ring looks like has a 45 degree cut in it to perhaps install into the piston? - Is that correct its a plastic O-ring with a slit in it?

Yep. Several companies make replacements that are all metal though...... most rebuilders don't care for the plastic fellers.

Always helpful! - Thanks sir!!

In this case, im in a pinch...have moving to do.... I'll put the one I have back in and I did get a pan that has a drain plug. While not ideal, i may have to drop the VB again in the future.

Drain plug is ALWAYS a good idea. Makes working on the trans a lot less messy.

I was able to do the whole job myself, and it turned out great. Truck now has 1 & 2nd gear working great.
The governor pressure sensor mod, the piston, and i went as far as to pull solenoid to replace all the sensor. Albeit not pleasant having **** drip on my face, it was done and i'm super happy.

Thanks for your help.
