Default frontend clicking

Hey guys I have a 99 ram 4x4 when I put it in 4x4 and turn on pavement left or right, I can hear a snapping noise from the frontend, I just had new u joints installed. Also when I put it in 4 low and apply the brake and give it gas it makes one snap, and will not make it again intill I put it in reverse and apply the brake and give it gas then it snaps again. any thoughts thanks

NO I am not running it in 4x4 on dry pavement. When I first relized the problem it was on a snow covered road, I was at a stop light and turned a corner on wet pavement, and thats when it first started.

Hey guys I still have that snap noise problem I just installed new front drive shaft u joints the noise is stll there, I am pretty sure the noise is coming from the left side axle, suspension bar, spring, etc, I have the left axle out now Can I drive the truck with the axle out? Then I know if it still makes the noise I can eliminate lots of things, thanks Darren

I had a 1997 model which made a noise like that and it turned out to be a bad bearing hub assy.

I was thinking of changing the hub assembly but it is removed now and it seems pretty smooth, but maybe it is a different story when the wheel is under torque. the axes are out now also and the u joints are fine no play at all. thanks
