Hi all, I just installed a new motor in my truck and I am having an issue with the exhaust. I am trying to order one online and I am running into this w/o sport pkg issue. I have been to parts geek, rock auto and assorted other websites and most of the replacement parts are not for the sport. My question is is there a difference in the exhaust system? I'm taking it that it should be the same?

 

So far as I know, the sport package didn't change anything at all on the exhaust..... it was basically a cosmetic package.

 

Technically I think dodge called it a "Sports tuned exhaust," but anything will bolt on to it. My exhaust wasn't technically for a sport either. Doesn't really matter

I used AP exhaust cat back on my 2000. Liked how it fit, and the price was hard to beat.

Everything bolts the same. They’re all just cosmetic package differences.
