Default Door lock

So I recently picked up a 2000 ram cummins and the inside door lock doesn’t work to lock the doors. I can unlock the doors but I can’t lock them without physically pressing the lock down. Also my key fob rarely works and when it does it only works to unlock and not lock. It was working the first two days I had it and now it doesn’t and it’s only been 3 days.

Do you hear the motors run when you are trying to lock the doors?

No I don’t. I try pressing the button and there’s no sound or anything but works for unlock

Probably a bad switch then. Will it work from the passenger side switch?

Time to pull the switch, and test it.

Make sure you test both switches. When I bought my truck, my Locke said didn't work at all, and one day they just atarted working out of the blue. That is until I hit the passenger side switch and they stopped working and didn't work again for another 2 or 3 days. If it seems questionable, replace it. They are kinda expensive online so junkyard switches work just as well.
