Default Strange RPM jump

So as I am trying to trouble shoot a weird rough idle issue, I was holding my rpms at certain speeds while parked. The rough ness goes away, but it'll sometime just spike 200-400 rpms, then drop back down. It wont do it at idle or below 1500 rpms really. Any ideas? its a 2001 1500 5.9L by the way, and it has a new TPS sensor also.

Might be the PCM trying to compensate for something or other...... You don't have EGR, so, that's not it..... How old are the O2 sensors?

Honestly probably as old as the truck, I have only had it since last April.

Might not hurt to change 'em. At least, the front sensor.

Not sure how much effect they actually have at idle...... If they are original, changing them wouldn't be a bad idea.
