Depends on how much effort/money you are willing to put into it. Anything CAN be done...... for the right amount of money...... But, I don't think dodge ever offered rear disk on any trucks back in the 80's..... In fact, I don't think they offered rear disk until the 3rd gen trucks came out. (02 3/4 and 1 ton trucks aside......) You *might* be able to toss a third gen rear under there..... but, you will likely have to move various mounts. (springs, shocks, etc.)
That said, the drum brakes work fine... and even if you have to replace ever part to make 'em work right, it would still be cheaper than an axle swap.
