Default Crazy grinding noise and delayed gear engagement

98 Ram 1500 in park everything is good. When put in reverse, neutral and drive I here a crazy grinding noise. When put in reverse or drive the gears take about 5 seconds before engaging and my wheels syart rolling. Shift solenoid + torque converter?? Any suggestions?

Yikes sounds crazy! I don't know much about magic boxes but I would think it's the torque converter because if the trans is grinding, then it's toast.

Someone with more knowledge should chime in soon!
