Not a fan.

With a lever, and mechanical linkage, there is very little to go wrong, and when something does go wrong, its usually a cheap and easy fix. With the ****, you introduce a boatload of electronics, none of which are cheap, and all of which can fail unexpectedly. That's why I like my shift lever on the column, and my 4x4 shifter on the floor. No electronics to cause me trouble.

That, and attempting to install the electronic shift on a truck that never had it, is going to be fun.
