Default Odd tranny issue

2001 Dodge Ram 2500 360. The tranny shifting from 2 to 3 won't shift unless you completely let off the pedal. SOMETIMES it will shift if you hold the rpms. But (this example just happened to me) was at a red light cruising down the highway I let the speed get to 60 wouldn't shift. I let me for of the pedal RPMs went to 2200 held there then dropped down to 1900, which meant it shifted. Another issue is going into reverse. Sometimes it will engage no problem. Other time you have to wait then it will "bang" into reverse. If you tap the gas it will really "bang" into reverse. Seems that when it sits overnight the reverse issue doesn't happen but the 2 to 3 shift sometimes still does. If needed I can get a video to help it explain it better. Now here in Cali it don't get real cold at night but it chills off. What is the issue here? Only recently down work was rear diff fluid change. I used Valvoline (HeyYou recommended the weight) with a bottle of friction modifier for the LSD.

Yes to electronics, no to the valve body got scared because of the check ***** and park rod. It's really starting to get scary going into reverse I have to hold the brake hit the gas at the same time then it literally goes "BANG" now you have reverse. Will go right into reverse to until you shut the truck off.

Somethings gotta be sticking..... have a look at the FSM to see where the check ***** are supposed to be..... the park rod *shouldn't* be too much of an issue.

By any chance, did inspect the accumulator springs? They like to break as well.

Not sure. I just know they like to break. Also, the plastic accumulator pistons aren't the most durable either.....
