'99 Ram 1500, 5.9, 2 wheel, transmission/front band

Default '99 Ram 1500, 5.9, 2 wheel, transmission/front band

Hi,how's everybody?
was changing trani fluid and found sort of metal bracket in pan. Turns out it is one of the two parts holding the front band in place.
put it back in twice and after couple miles dropped out again.
any recommendations besides rebuild or replace. Thanks a lot. Merry x-mas

Im not a tranny guy but if it keeps falling out those may be your only 2 options. Merry Christmas!

Did you readjust the band after you put the band strut back in? If you didn't, then it isn't ever going to stay in place. If you did, then, you either need to replace the band, (slip-in replacements are available, but, not sure how *easy* it is....) or rebuild the trans.
