Default Differences between ob1 and ob2 5.9 mangum?

Hey all, I am new so please be easy on me. I' David I own a 1995 ram 1500 2 door short bed 2x4. I have the 5.9 magnum paired with a 46rh. I have been looking everywhere to find the differences between a ob1 engine and a obd2 engine, can' seem to find anything. I hate havijng a obd1 its hard to find performane parts. So what is the difference between those two engine say a 1996 ram with the 5.9 and my 1995 with the same engine? I know the transmissions are different but as far as sensors efi injectors? Is there a big difference I mean I have been considering finding a 1997 donor ram with a 5.9 ripping enine harness and sensors and parts accordng such as tb but is there a diffeence in can end play crank position sensor cam? Can I take cylinder heads for a 1997 and fit them to the 1995? I just don't seem to find anything you know. Are all sensors different ? Coolant temp sensor? Any help with be very much appreciated. Thanks

Get the obd2 as it is a more advanced computer system. You will have to get the code reader for it of course.

No real differences in the motors. Just the electronics that run them.

Not worth the hassle in my opinion. A few simple things like good tune up, exhaust, and gears will help both trucks. Beyond that and you've got a lot of money spent for a little more power.

I've read that the Harland Sharp 1.7 rockers help. $400 though. Some shorty headers and nice exhaust, 4.10 or 4.56 gears, E fans free up a few hp. It made a huge difference on my 95 when I changed the timing chain and fixed the plenum gasket.

The biggest difference is after 96 you can get an SCT tuner. I haven't seen anything for OBD 1 trucks. I don't know if we'd need a chip or different ECM or what.
