Default Help.. 46RE Still Shifting LATE Even after doing governor solenoid and sensors

Hi all,

I’m frustrated and about ready to give up on this thing.. hopefully someone has an idea or experience to share that will offer some explanation and solution.

Its a ram 2500 gasser with the 46RE trans. 70k on her. Was sitting I bought it and put her back on the road. Has immediate power delivery no slipping, shifts perfectly firm and smooth, through all the gears... just shifts late.

It shifts usually around 3000-3500rpm. I’ve replaced the usual three culprits, did two output speed sensors (just cause the governor kit came with one after I already did one), the governor solenoid and governor sensor... filter and proper ATF+4 fluid. No change. Fluid was already clean and didn’t have metal in the pan. Trans honestly seems fine.

Ideas? Other possibilities? It drives fine but I’d like it to shift lower. Thanks
