Welp I got a vacuum leak, one problem after another with this truck. Is it possible that a vacuum leak could come from a broke/missing gasket between the throttle body? I had to monkey with that awhile ago, and the parts store wasn't open. Also what are the most common spots for vacuum leaks? Its colder then heck outside and I want to go out there armed with some knowledge to minimize exposer time.
You can always get some starter fluid or breakcleaner, start up your engine, pop the hood and start spraying the starter fluid/ breakcleaner around, when you spray it where the vacuum leak is it will rev up the engine indicating that’s where the leak is. Since the starter fluid is flammable when it gets sucked in where the vacuum leak is it will go through the engine some science will happen and bam, engine revs up. Hope that helps!
