Default Window Control Troubleshoot

Hi Folks, problem with the window controls with my '95 Ram 1500. Can you help me troubleshoot this?

The passenger side window doesn't respond, using the control on that side or the drivers side. What should I be looking for??

Windows are on a circuit breaker, so, if one works, that isn't the problem. Switches are know for going bad, and motors do fail.

If it is a switch, it would be the switches on both sides since the passenger window doesn't work from either side? I don't have the child proof, could I retrofit one in there when I buy new switches?

Does your drivers side still work? If so, I'm going to think that the motor is done on the passenger side. It's going to be easier to replace the whole regulator assembly (and not much more expensive) rather than taking the time to just replace the motor

Hot ticket would be pull the door panel, and test if you are getting power to the motor from either switch.

Yes the drivers side window still works, but not the passenger side window from drivers side or passenger side controls.

This has to be a clue!

Just today I've been hearing faint whispering light groan sounds coming from somewhere in the cab, couldn't pinpoint where it was coming from until I realized, probably from the passenger side button control area? making weird sounds? Wasn't touching drivers side controls at all.

Pull the door panel. (you will want the correct tool for that, else, you will destroy the door panel. parts store will have 'em on the shelf) Disconnect the the harness at the motor. (you will have to be creative to keep the passenger window switch plugged in.... remove it from the door panel is easiest.) Put your meter on the motor connector, hit the switch. What does the meter say?

OK I'll get that panel remover, and it has to be the motor but I see at least 6 different motors for passenger side listed on this page
https://www.autozone.com/collision-b...se&model=motor

I guess after I take the panel off it will be obvious which one?
