Default Clunking banging issues

Hey guys,
2001 Dodge Ram 4x4 is giving me fits. About a week ago it developed a knocking noise when slowing down, breaking. I replaced both u joints on drivers and pass side and the clunking noise is still there. I ordered new ball joints because I noticed they were bad as well. My question is in all the years I’ve owned a dodge I’ve never had one that would making the constant clunk, clunk, clunk noise when slowing down because of bad ball joints, am I missing something obvious? I checked both front and rear driveshaft and there both right. I jacked up the front end off the ground and spun the tires and no clunking noise can be heard. Other then bad ball joints I’m lost. Anything else I should be looking for?

Check your upper and lower ball joints, tie rod ends, U-joints at the wheels and on the front and rear driveshaft, track bar (ball joint end and bushing end), control arm bushings and last but not least, check to ensure the differential pinion bearings aren't loose - you should be able to check it by pushing in and out (and up and down) on the driveshafts. If the U-joints in the driveshaft are good and there is movement, you have a problem.

Well your not going to believe this, but I decided to put the truck up on jack stands and found that the drivers rear wheel was loose. I had a tire changed a couple weeks back and obviously they didn’t tighten the lug nuts properly. Problem solved. Lol

My wifes van started making some really rude noises while driving...... so, we took it off the road, put our 'back up' vehicle on the road, and she drove that for several months. One day, her son was walking past the van, pointed at the wheel, and said "lug nuts are loose."..... After he left, I retorqued the lug nuts, and went for a drive.... Noise gone......
