Infinity Sound Problems
Hey Everyone,
I'm not sure if I put this in the correct section or not. I have a 2001 1500 Laramie with the Infinity Sound option and out of no where the drivers side tweeter decided it wasn't going to work any longer. I took the A pillar off and replaced the inline capacitor with one of the same values but it still didn't work so I soldered the old one back in. My question is, Is there any way to test if there is power actually getting to the tweeter from the amp built into the door speaker? I already had the door panel off and ohm'ed the wires to make sure they weren't broken somewhere along the way and they all tested good. I don't know how I can test the capacitor that is in line on the positive side going to the tweeter, thats why I went after that first. If you guy have any suggestions on how I can test if it is the tweeter itself or the amplifier I would greatly appreciate any information or suggestions.
Thanks,
Frank
