99 dodge ram 1500 rough idle and at 1500n rpm
I have a rough idle and rough vibration around 1500-2000rpm
figured it was a head gasket or intake gasket. So far I cant tell but I did notice the timing cover is leaking coolant. will this cause a misfire.
truck has 158k miles. Thanks

No, timing cover leak won't cause misfire, but, it will cause numerous other problems. Including dumping coolant into the oil, which will smoke the motor fairly quick.
You likely have a blown plenum gasket, (gasket between steel plate, and the rest of the intake manifold, have to pull the intake to change it.) So, do the whole job at once. Plenum, timing cover, timing chain and gears, water pump. If you look at the end-all, be-all plenum thread at the top of the forum I am going to move this to.... (2nd gen ram tech.) there is a LOT of information there.
