1999 dodge ram 1500 5.2
I am trying to replace the transmission in my 1999 Dodge Ram 1500. The transmission part # isp52119820AA. I was told that the sensor on the casting must line up with the "magnet" or whatever on the torque converter. Can anyone tell me how to line up the 4 bolt torque converter with the gap on the transmission where the sensor goes? Also, I was told that the truck would not run without the sensor. Is that true as I am not getting any fire at the plugs. Why no fire?
Warm regards,
Ron
Hope this is the right section

You want to be in the 2nd gen ram section, I'll move this post there.
No magnet on the torque converter.... there is a sensor on the bellhousing behind the passenger side head though. You want to REMOVE that before you remove/install the trans, else, you are likely going to be needing a new one. They tend to get bent/broken when you reinstall the trans.....
