2001 Ran 1500 Tranny Install - Cranks But won’t start
First post on here so please let me know if I’m doing this wrong....
So I rebuilt the transmission (46rh) on my 01 Ram 1500. It went well and everything came back together just fine. However it won’t start. It cranks hard, I’ve got an oversized battery in it. But it won’t turn over. Trying to go back to the basics, I think it is spark but.... this shouldn’t be happening. It turned over just fine before the rebuild. The only thing wrong with the truck was a burnt up transmission (my goodness it was hurt to a crisp....). The engine was fantastic. Tried started fluid, no go.... battery is fine. More than fine. Trying to check spark but having trouble on my own. Hoping for any advice on where to go with this... I’m beyond frustrated.
Thanks.

You have a 46RE transmission.
Likely you destroyed the crank sensor R&Ring the trans. It bolts to the back of the block, behind the passenger side head. Pain to get to...... Remove the one that's in there, make sure it is indeed toast. (bent, broken, wires crushed, etc.) If it's bad, replace it with an OEM part, the aftermarket sensors don't always play nice there. Yes, the OEM sensor IS significantly more expensive, but, it has the advantage of actually working right.
