Default 1998 Dodge Ram has no spark

Went out to start my 98 Ram 1500 noticed my son left the key in ACC mode and killed it. Put a charger on it then tried to start it. It would crank but not start. I checked the coil and no spark. I am wondering if charging the battery dries something. Because it ran like a champ before all this happened.

It shouldn't. I've had to jump mine several times over the years with no issue. Could just be the coil died. How long did you let it charge? Might trickle it overnight and see what that does.

Yeah, make sure the battery has a full charge first. Take it from there.

After confirming a good battery, check the coil. Resistance #s will be in your repair manual. Then check the cam and crank sensor.
