Default Factory remote locks question

I just got my build sheet. The truck came with factory remote locks, which I really want to work(Tired of having to lock and unlock with a key when I'm on job) I have no remotes, so, where do I start? Thanks for any info.

You can get remotes off ebay. Unfortunate thing is, you need one working remote to program other remotes. Since you dont have one, a dealer or locksmith will have to program them.

I've also wondered the same question. My 01 has power locks but no remote. I had to call a dealership and give them my VIN # to see if I had the ability to program keyless remotes, which was a nope. So I need to install a remote starter with lock and unlock options. I called a few shops and the prices were all around $500, for that price I can unlock my doors with a key. I've searched for DIY on a remote start for a 2nd gen dodge but couldn't find anything with clear instructions.

Dealer wants about 109 for a factory remote. I can get two on ebay for 17 bucks, but, I've heard about the aftermarket ones sometimes have issues with the programming. Anyone have a brand or seller that they know are good?

See if you can find genuine mopar remotes online. They tend to be cheaper than the dealer.
