Default Difference between 97 and 01 5.2l...

Basically I am curious what the difference is between the 97 and 01 5.2l engines. I have an 01 ram sport, and blew the engine(Oil pump failed on a long drive home). I bought a am engine from a 97 ram to replace it. From whay I've read the fuel injectors are different, but can I pop the 01 ones out and into the 97 engine? Any other differences between the engines I'm unaware of? I appreciate the help in advance, thanks.

Just swap the intake from your original motor to the new one. It will bolt right in, hook right up, and work.

While doing the engine swap, remove the crank sensor (behind passenger side head, on the bellhousing) FIRST, and don't put it back in till the engine is all bolted up. Otherwise, you run the risk of destroying it.
