Default 1997 dodge 2500 cummins speedometer location?

Hi everyone! I'm in the process of trying to get a rebuilt transmission for my 1997 dodge 2500 Cummins 5.9 2wd manual. I've found a good reputable local transmission place that specialize in nv4500's. But like them and a few other places have asked, is if i have a speedometer in my tail housing. I have no clue unfortunately how to tell or check this. Any help would be much appreciated

The 97 will indeed have the VSS in the tailhousing of the trans. That went away in 98.

Welcome to DF!
