yes speed govenor was bypassed. On the highway it’ll creep up past 100 but that’s only in long distance. It has a brand new coil and plugs and cap on it. Has true duals no cats. I don’t know how to check the fuel pressure or the plenum. It does seem it’s going through WAY to much oil. I’ll have it filled and 2 weeks later it’ll be below the add mark. But it doesn’t run rough. Starts right up and runs great. Just has me stumped on this

Take a look down the throttle bores, and see if you see oil inside the intake.

Didn't the Dodge Garage release a way to check to see if the Plenum is blown using vacuum on the main port?

Yeah, but, that's an exercise. Simply looking down the throttle bores will give you a pretty good indication of if there is a problem.

okay ill check that out today. But if it was the plenum wouldn’t it run like **** ? Idle driving. Everything it runs perfect. Just don’t wanna go over a certain rpm in 3rd

Basically its a big vacuum leak. Once in closed loop, the PCM can kinda/sorta compensate for it..... but, oil consumption goes up, fuel economy goes down, and various other odd things happen.

First and second will go all the way up in rpms if I want it to 4-5 but 3rd won’t go up. It’ll slowly creep to 3-3500 and even if I’m floored not go no higher. I feel like it should go up high as I want it to till it shifts. Then it feel like over drive is just a dog to
That part right there really bothers me. Are you saying it just stops at 3500 rpm or does it actually creep higher up than that?

Edit: I'd also take that chip off and see if that solves the issue. If it does then get a decent program instead.

I got one of the best chips out and also got a sct but superchip is in right now. I took it out. It made no difference as in my problem. It runs better with chip in. But no it like stops at 3500 rpm. It might creep slowly. But like so slowly as in a mile or 2 it’ll get to maybe 3600 3700. It won’t go over 80-85 it just stops
