Default 97dodge 2500 diesel tranny 47re??

i have 97 dodge 2500 2row seating 2door fullsize bed 4x4 limited slip rear danna front.was trying to figure out what tranny is used im thinking 47re but one just never knows

Way to obvious.

I don't know when dodge started using the 48RE behind various engines. I suppose, best bet would be to get a build sheet, that should be accurate info.
