Where to mount trailer brake controler?

Just received the controler for my '99 1500. Where do most of you mount your controler where it's not in the way?

Moving this to second gen ram section......

Mine is mounted to the left of the steering column, and it is kinda/sorta 'out of the way'..... I can still knock my knee on it though......

Mine is right of the steering wheel. It's never bothered me.

Oops.....I meant 2009 truck.....not 1999......I also own one of those and it also has a brake controler on it. Sorry for the confusion......
