1995 3500 headache
I'm at wits end. I've replaced the cap, rotor, plugs, wires twice, computer, ignition switch twice, egr, tps, crank sensor, water pump, altinatore, serpentine belt,
when I drive first thing for about the first ten miles or so it chugs misses and backfires through the intake and I have no power. I runs like this till it is good and hot then the problem subsides. When I shut it off it starts back up fine but if it cools down the problem starts over again. The cooler it is the crappier it runs till it's hot again. Also is throwing a code 34. It was throwing a code 12,15,24,32,34 I changed the tps. Reset the computer, now it's just the code 34.

im not familiar with your year truck but, if the code you are getting is for cruise control maybe the vacuum line to the cruise control is broken and causing a vacuum leak. This could make the engine run like crap possibly?? Cruise control module is under the battery on the driver side (on my 01 1500). Just follow the vacuum line from the module to the engine and check for breaks. Just an idea..

I'm guessin' that you have OBD1 gen ECM? Do you have access to an OBD1 or OBD2 scanner, depending on which your's is? It'll sure take allot of the guess work outta the process? This sounds for shore like a temp problem, trust me, I have a masters degree in the obvious, with a Ph.D in 20/20 hindsight, so I should know. The only things that are "temp" dependent on this beast are you coolant and intake temp sensors. I'm not sure if your O2 sensor is "heated" or not, does it have 2 wires or 3 to 4 coming out of it. If only 2, then it's not preheated for speedy closed loop operations, as most OBD1's were.
