Default Code 32 and 51

1995 Dodge ram 1500 4wd 5.9L

I replaced my fuel pump module. When removing the old one as I was removing the hose to the fuel tank rollover valve the nipple/plastic connector of the rollover valve that the hose connects to snapped off. I was being careful but not careful enough I guess. There was still a little connector left so I removed the rollover valve and installed it on the new module because the new module didn't come with one. It's the only thing the new module didn't have. So I reconnected the hose and I've driven it a few days and now I'm getting trouble codes 32 and 51. BTW I also replaced the O2 sensor with a brand new one. If that hose to the rollover valve is not connected well or has even come off will it throw out a code 32?? And 51??

32 is egr solenoid circuit, 51 is system lean at idle......

32 is going to be a separate problem, 51 may be a residual, from having low fuel pressure. Clear the codes, drive it, and see if anything comes back.

I cleared the codes and after a drive of about an HR non-stop the check engine light comes on again and I get codes 32 & 51 again.

What brand O2 sensor?

Have a look at your EGR system, make sure everything is hooked up, and nothing is melted.

I started to check the egr and when I turned truck on I can hear a very loud hissing coming from the area of the top of the gas tank but I can't find it. It's not something you have to listen for . The hissing is there!

Vacuum leak. That may be related to the code 51.

Are you sure the "hissing" noise isn't an electrical pump whine? They spin at a pretty hi RPM n it can sound something like a whine. Pull the gas cap n lend an ear, or use a stethoscope.

take the gas cap off, leave it off, start the pickup and see if the hissing noise is still there. Is it coming from the gas cap area now. Put a papertowel over the gas tank inlet n see if the towel is blown out or sucked in.
