Exclamation Front end Grinding while turning

HEy Guys, Y;all helped me with my Lass problem so here goes... In my 2000 RAM 1500 w/ 5.2 318 V8 2WD w/ 219k miles, I get a grinding sound in the front end at low speeds ONLY when turning sharply. This happens especially when I'm towing, most severely while backing/turning. Ball joints have 2k miles on them, tie rods 50k max, I've inspected my brake components to the best of my advanced-amateur abilities. My pads have roughly 50% life in them, rotors are like-new (visually). This problem has gotten worse over the course of 8 months with no success at finding the problem, any ideas fellas?

Jack it up, and spin the tires by hand, sounds like you have a bearing going out.

Steering pump going out, or maybe steering box? What size tires do you have?

Default Grinding while Turning

My Tire size is standard 245/75/16. I'm pretty sure I've determined that its my front passenger hub assembly. I jacked it up and there was play L-R and U-D. Considering I replaced ball joints/tie rods this year i think that's it. I checked out the replacement costs and can't decide between the Mopar wheel hub assembly for $309 with a 3yr Warranty or the Dorman (which I've never heard of) for half the Mopar price with a limited lifetime warranty. I don't want to repeat this repair anytime soon, lifetime warranty or not. What do y'al think? Thank you for your replies HeyYou and true blue!

The mopar unit is overpriced, dorman doesn't have the best reputation for longevity...... There are a couple other folks out there that also make them, (timkin, et al.) that have a MUCH better reputation.

U mite wanna consider a junkyard unit if money is tite. If ya got the tools, you can pop her off with a few wrenches, sockets n a pickle bar of the rite size.
