Steering wheel off center
I have a 94 Ram 1500, RWD, Long bed, 5.2 L., Automatic.
Due to some kind of repair by the previous owner, the steering wheel is off center by about 15 degrees. I can't see my gauges because of this and it drives my completely insane. I have searched this site and YouTube but all the references about this issue cover the 4x4, or some model other than mine. Could someone please post me a link or something? It can't be too difficult but I'm somewhat new to Dodge so I want the most accurate information I can get. Thanks all!

There should be some alignment in the tie rods but what may have happened is they replaced the pitman arm and didn't put it in the correct key way. If the steering wheel was turned at all they may have mounted it crooked. It does have a notch but the wheel has to be secured when replacing either steering gear or pitman arm. Get under it and see what you adjust. The pitman arm should be basically in line with the frame. If it is way off to one side but the wheels are straight, that may the issue.

And actually, with the Y steering, you're not supposed to adjust the sleeve on the drag link as it WILL change toe. There is supposed to be a bar between the clamps preventing this because due to the design of the Y, any change to the drag link also changes the right wheel. Mine was messed up for years by a stupid shop that ripped off the warning bar and just turned that clamp. I was clueless then. The T steering is super easy though.
