Default 2000 2500 5.9 360 p0202 p0207

Hey guys, this is my first post, hope I'm in the right place. I've read a lot and can't seem to find anyone else with my problem. I have a 2000 model dodge ram 2500 with a 5.9 360 magnum and automatic transmission all stock. I am getting a CEL and major flooding so I scan it and get P0202 and P0207. I replaced air temp sender, TPS, 1st 02 sensor, IAC, took apart harness checked all wires for continuity, swapped plugs in different holes and moved injectors around, and finally changed the pcm. It has a gutted cat and i replaced the plenum gasket less than a year ago. I also homed all injectors and they were all close. I'm at a loss. It sat at a shop for 3 months and they couldn't tell me anything. Really need your guys input. Thanks in advance, it's almost hay season and i need this beast pulling a gooseneck again.

The codes are for injector circuit malfunctions. If moving the injectors around didn't change anything, then they are not the problem. Think I would test and see if, with engine running, if those two injectors are actually getting a pulse, or, if they are being held open. (internal short in PCM.)

Hhhmmm...... Could try pulling the fuel rail, (with injectors) put some pans under them, and see what the injectors do.

So pull the rail with injectors, and put power to them, or just see if they drip?

Pull the rail, put something under them, disable the coil. (just unplug it) crank the engine a bit, see what the injectors do.

I see the codes you mentioned, however, I read recently on these chat rooms how unrelated problems set off weird codes...nothing new there. That said, what does the scanner have to say about your fuel trims, both long n short term? What does the intake air temp say compare it to the ambient temp? What is the O2 sensor readings, both up n downstream?

I'll do that as soon as I get back, so I'll let you know. Thanks so much. I love my big ole dodge. I've not had any problems except put a motor in a year or so ago but it was fine until all of a sudden this. I've read so much online about these trucks and I have never had any trouble except at 250,000 miles the motor was worn out. I love it, and I will get her going somehow.

Thanks true blue, I did see people having temp senders do something like this. I will be home in a couple of hours and pull live data to post before I pull the rail. I can't make heads or tails of trim temp and p2 numbers but if I list them maybe you guys will catch it.we dont have mechanics where I live, we have parts swappers which is how I got the stuff changed out and they finally said they couldn't fix it.

I feel your pain brother!!!
I've been doing stuff like this to my vehicles for goin' on 5 decades now cause I'm a tinkerer at heart. Hell, I've even been paid to turn wrenches before. I've also paid "professional" mechanics when I didn't have the time. The biggest problems I've had with my vehicles have come about due to cleaning up after the so-called "pros". If hookers performed like most of the "professional" mechanics (insert caveat here) ...that I've been to... (satisfaction vs dollars spent), it'd no longer be...the world's oldest profession.
