Ouch. That kinda sucks. Not just a leaking heater hose is it?

The radiator was really low on Coolant when I checked it. Can low coolant cause that? The wasn't any milkshake stuff on the oil cap but I ran it for maybe 30 seconds and then turned it off as soon as that smoke appeared. Probably just going to buy a new radiator since the old one was rusty as hell inside and is leaking. Hopefully that fixes the issue and I will also replace the thermostat

Overheating can smoke a head gasket, or crack a head fairly easily on these trucks, and you wouldn't necessarily see coolant in the oil. Probably wouldn't hurt to test your coolant for combustion gases..... that will let you know if there is a problem.

How quickly would it overheat, my friend ran the engine without the serpentine belt on for around a minute
