Default Need help!

Hey guys Iíve got a 98 12v and Iíve been having issues with it starting I replaced batteries last Friday and itís started and ran fine every time but now I have to jump it off and acts like thereís no power at all it did it before I replaced batteries but now theyíre dead. Is it an electrical short? Or my alternator? Honestly I donít have a clue figured some of yíall would know appreciate any advice thank ya.

Alternator is suspect but check it first. Remove the belt and see how it spins. Check the charging cables and all connections. Check the grounds. Check fuses. Even the belt tensioner as it provides tight belt to spin accessories. Does it start anytime you jump it?

Do you have bright lights and all functions inside - radio, dash, heater, etc.?
