Hello. I need correct wiring diagram for my 1995 RAM 3500 RAM WAGON (5.9L gas engine van with 46RH A/T) so that I can retrofit a newer style OD switch or a manual switch. My OD switch is the 56007185 (discontinued) and only has 4 wires. The 4 wire colors are: violet-w-white stripe, orange-w-white stripe, black-w-orange stripe, solid-black (I think I have the colors right I am partly colorblind). The more modern switch has 6 wires/ 5 conductors (2 jumped together). Those colors are: DarkBlue-w-white stripe, black-w-orange stripe, orange-w-white stripe, solid-orange, orange-w-black stripe jumped together with light-green. I find wiring diagrams all day long for the more common 6 wire arrangement but not mine. My switch is confirmed bad so no BS about testing every other component first please. P.S. - If I decide to go the manual switch route, do I need to use a momentary contact switch or can I use a standard ON/OFF maintained-contact switch? If I abandon the original switch, I would still like to wire-in an indicator light to let me know the status of the Overdrive. Thanks.

I just downloaded all those manuals (thanks! all those years should help for future interchange questions)
It looks like my van is built like a 1994 - but only the 1995 manual has a master transmission circuit diagram with descriptions of what each circuit does!
Fortunately, it seems the circuit names are the same in 1994 and 1995. (T18, Z3, T6, F12, etc)
This should clear up my issue so now I can match up the different color codes from the different years and also the plug pin assignments.
woo hoo (maybe premature but...)
