Default Ignition control module for 94 Ram 2500 8.0L v10....

Does anyone, by any chance or act of God, have a lead on an ignition control module for a 1994 Dodge Ram 2500 V10 8.0L, part # 56027879???? I know it is way late that I am coming into this problem, however, here I am - truck in good shape and it is parked, almost seeming like permanently unless I can find one of this little devils for it. I have discovered that Dodge stopped making these things in 1997 and only the 94 95 96 v10 had the module. I have cylinders 4 and 7 not firing and this little devil (from what I have discovered in my searches) has been known to cause 4/7 and 5/10 cylinders on coil packs to not fire when they go bad. Any leads greatly appreciated!!!

I think the common solution for your issue is to change the wiring to use the 96 and up coil packs. There is a thread about that around here somewhere.

Aside from that, Ebay, or the used market are pretty much your only options.

I thought the 96 still used the ignition module and it was 97 that didnt. I have looked into that option and the transmissions wont match up because in 96 they went to RE transmissions and I have the RH still. Not sure how that would affect the computer operations. Do you happen to know if all else would be a plug and play (all sensors in same spot on the newer year engine, etc), or will there need to be some cutting and splicing involved? Thanks!

I do know the 96 computer is different than mine, because when we were looking at ECMs, only 94 and 95 are compatible. I am guessing because they changed the transmissions in 96, but am not sure...

All you would be changing would be the coil packs, and their electrical connectors. Everything else stays the same.
