Default U joint part #?

HI Looking for a source/part number for the rear (at rear diff) u-joint for a regular cab 99 Ram 1500 4x4. O'Reilly's guy couldn't find one like the one I took off. I couldn't find one like it on rock auto either.

The take off has 1.067 caps on two ends with external clips and 1.127 caps with c-clips on the other two (measurements may be off a few thousands - I'm measuring the old ones which are corroded).

I have the rear diff with the two "straps", brackets, whatever, not the flange.

Thanks!

That's a adapter u-joint. Someone must changed the drive shaft or the axle. He'll need to look it up in the book.

Rockauto has needed conversion joint for rear aluminum-graphite driveshaft. GMB 2190359.
There's also another conversion joint, which I have on my truck, same cup sizes but different p/n. GMB 2400359.

Those were under '95 2500, which I have. But I just realized, op has newer truck, so went to see that, too. And very first u-joint on listing is conversion joint, Neapco 20355.

Is there any way to know which sides use the end clips and which use the C clips? We found one at O'Reilly that had the different caps but the C Clips were on the smaller diameter caps. I need the c clips on the bigger diameter caps.

Did you say that you had used the GMB 2190359 or GMB 2400359? Did it have the C clips on the larger caps?

Thanks!

I have GMB 2400359, and it has grooves on all four caps, inner clips for all four, and two outer clips for the smaller cups. And it's listed for the foremost joint on the front shaft.

I think that you need the 2190359, because it's listed for the rear shaft. I went through the GMB catalog, but outer clip sizes/locations were not specified.

Thanks I ordered both from Rock Auto since they are pretty cheap. Hopefully one should fit. Thanks for all your help!

No problem. Hopefully one of them fits, because I was just looking for info about those joints, and one place lists 2400359 as a rear shaft joint, so go figure. I'm curious about the difference between those two, because they seem to be the same size.
