Unplug the 8 pin connector on the drivers side of the trans, about halfway back. This will disable the electronics in the trans. So, NO automatic function at all, no overdrive, no torque converter clutch. You will have to shift manually. If it goes into the gear you tell it to, when you tell it to, replace the electronics.

Default Going to try solenoids

Since I've had a total lack of commentary, I'm going to try easy first. I''m goint to replace the solenoids and the sensors - and check the wiring harness. Plan of blowing out the tranny cooler pasages as well....

What am I? Chopped liver? (points if you get the reference.)

While you have the pan down, adjust the bands as well. Tighten to 72 INCH pounds, then back them off two (2) full turns.

I'm going to call you private joker. (Do you get the reference?) Also apparently invisible.
