Glad it worked for you. I have the bluepoint (snapon) tool, and I still occasionally have a failure. I'll typically buy the parts store ones that already have flares on both sides, then I just cut them and I've got two ends already to go - just need to add one flare on each to be done... I guess I'd call it a life hack :-)
