on my 01 Laramie sometimes when I cut the wheel hard at slow speeds or stops it has a high pitched creak. its not really bad , only happens occasionally. I haven't put my transmission in yet so im just going by what I remember from 6 months ago.
I know it atleast needs a new alignment and ball joints because the ball joints look like rusted and cracked **** and the inner tread on my tires is bald. completely gone.
what could be the culprit other than ball joints ? u joints ? tie rods ? should I just replace the whole lower control arms ? any good recommended kits ? I dont like cheating out on general maintenance.
only worried about it because my inspection expires next month and by the time I get the tranny in I still might not be able to drive it if it won't pass.
