I don't think they are. They have zerk fittings and OEM didn't come with them. They could have tapped them but I would think they would be more then that is they did.

Moog’s are the most expensive ones that I’ve been quoted from 3 different parts shops. I was leaning towards them as all the parts shops tell me they are the top quality available from their suppliers

They are junk I had to get 3 before I got just one good one. It only lasted 1 year. I had MAYBE 20,000 MILES ON IT and all 4 are bad again.

Ok, point taken.

im thinking I might tackle the job myself this week. I can rent a Snap-On press kit for $15/day. I have done the axle seals, but I’ve never done a ball joint before, or used the press tool. Is it difficult? Anything I need to know? I need to remove the tie rod, correct? Do I need pickle forks for that or will it come off with a hammer? If I’m in over my head I don’t mind taking it to a shop. What do you guys think? I’m just worried they won’t be careful with the 12month old axle seals and then I’ll be doing that ****ty job again soon

And I’m in Canada, and I can’t buy Spicer or Dana ball joints from any part store. Should I consider OEM from my Ram dealer, they would be Dana/Spicer in a Mopar box? I’m the original owner of my truck and the stock ball joints have 247K on them. Not bad.

Before you buy your parts at the parts store, make a list of what you need and check CanadaPartsonline.com for pricing. They are an American distributor with a Canadian warehouse to get around paying duty. I'm in Canada as well (BC) and about 3 years ago I redid the front-end on my 96 (upper and lower ball joints, tie rod end and track bar) and even when you add in shipping, the identical parts that Lordco quoted me about $1500 for on a mechanic friends account only cost me $900 and change.

anyone? Do I need a pickle fork and is the use of the press difficult if I’ve never used one before?

a pickel fork will ruin the tie rods. You have two options to remove them. 1. You can rent a TRE ouller or 2. Take the cattle nut flip it upside down and hit it with a hammer and it will drop out.
A ball joint press isn't hard to use. It's really simple.

I’ve got it all apart, and I can’t figure out how to get the lower ball joint out. I don’t see a snap ring anywhere. Help please!

May not be one...... Clean all the dirt off, if you still don't see one, try and press the joint out.

Got the drivers side complete. Pretty challenging to do without ever using a ball joint press before, especially one from the rental shop with no instructions. Youtube helped a bit.
