Dodge Ram transmission interchange.
I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 sport 4x4 and the transmission might go out on me soon. But I have a good working 98 transmission. I just don’t know if it’ll match up. My 2001 has the 5.9 V8

If they are both 46RE, (which they should be) it will bolt right in. However, the electronics won't match. Need to swap in electronics for the 01 trans, along with the retainer for governor pressure sensor. (or solenoid, can't remember which.) Internal connectors are different as well, so, TCC and O/D solenoids will need to change as well.
