You could remove the converter inspection cover and see if you have a cracked flex plate or loose converter bolts. You could also get a stethoscope to help you pin point the noise. Or you could just wait until it becomes much more apparent, although its usually better to catch stuff earlier.
Right I like to do preventative maintenance. But I'm not gonna go at it just replacing parts this time. I learned that the hard way. The stethoscope is a good idea.
You could drop a 408 in there, just need the correct dampner, and flexplate. (360 is external balance.) Use the sensors off your current motor. You will need a tune for the 408..... and they ain't cheap to build either.
