This one baffles me...
i have this problem everytime i disconnect the battery. i've been told that you just need to reset the computer. for me if i take the truck up to 70mph it resets the comp. this is what a mechanic told me the first time it happened to me.hope this helps
All I know is I had the same problem and it was the VR on my Ram. As for the VR being part of the PCM I could'nt say on 3rd gens. But if Daimlar follows the same system as the do with the Freightliners (which would make sence) it would still be in the Alt as they are with our 05's but then again they're Mercades motors.[sm=confused06.gif]

isnt the VR part of the PCM now? if not is it still in the Alt?

I still think this problem is with the TB.....
Well I cleaned it all up today, and holy crap! I can't beleive how dirty that thing was.
This is the bottom side, where the IAC goes its really gunked up.

Pulled the IAC out and it was caked with gunk. Cleaned that and the TB up really good. While I had the TB off thought I checked the Plenum. What I found makes me sad

Is this a bad Plenum? I don't think all that craps normal, but you guys tell me if it is
