Default Dana Axle Identification

Hello,
Can anyone help me with information of a Dana Axle. I'm planning to replace the pinion seal on the rear axle of my 1994 Dodge RAM 2500 (8800 GVW). The only info I can find on the Axle is this on the cover:

46292-2
075 4
Rev A
07 13 93

When I search for this info online I find some info but doesnt seem clear on what pinion seal I should buy.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

I have a 5.9 360 V8. I'm not sure about the transmission.

When I called Dana resellers to locate a new outer axle stub for my d60 front, they wanted the numbers on the axle to identify replacement parts. I'd call one of the large parts houses for dana, like a driveline shop. Because 1994 was a long time ago, and who knows what the POs did prior to your purchase. Good luck.

Here is a pretty decent video showing the process of replacing the pinion seal on a Dana 70. Process is the same for the Dana 60.

You'll want to check for slightly loose pinion side movement (worn bearing). Proper tool to remove that seal is below, it'll pluck that seal right out of there.

42449 is the # i have. It came from a pdf file direct from dana spicer. But it wouldn't hurt to get the other info on the axle if needed.
