Default Oil pan and gasket

Hey all,
first time truck owner, and I'm going to be changing the oil pan and gasket this weekend, any advice or problems I should be aware of, it's a '97 Dodge ram 1500 sport, 5.2, V8 Magnum with almost 120,000 miles.
TIA

Not too bad of a job. While you are in there, might consider replacing the oil pump, and pickup tube as well.

No it's almost as easy at the pan. Take the pump bolts out and take the old pump out. Reverse to put the new one in

Be sure to prime the pump before installation though. (which consists of dumping some oil down the outlet before bolting it back in place..... )
