I think you need minimum 16" wheels to clear the front calipers, but, not 100% on that. (dual piston calipers, right?)

What gears are currently in the rear end? Highly likely you have the standard 3.55's. 33's would be more or less ok....... but, 35's WILL require you to regear, if you want your trans to last. At least you only have to deal with one axle..... Good opportunity for an upgrade in the rear as well, if you don't already have some variety of limited slip, perfect opportunity to install one. I have gone places in a 2wd (w/posi) rig, that a fair few 4x4's wouldn't be willing to follow me.

Not a lot of lift parts out there for the 2wd's any more. Gotta remember that last of these trucks rolled off the assembly line 17 years ago...... so, that market has gotten pretty thin. Still a fair few engine parts out there, but, 'customization' parts, not so much. Would be easier if it were 4x4.....

I suspect you are going to need at least 3" to clear 33's on the front, body modifications will be required for anything larger, or...... 3" body lift is likely still out there in the world. Maybe with the body lift, and whatever you can get as far as suspension lift, you *might* be able to clear 35's.......

Welcome to DF!

When I did mine, I got front coil springs out of a 2500 V10 and 1 and 1/2 in coil spacers for the front and did the Pro Comp add a Leaf kit from 4 wheel parts for the rear.
I clear 285/70/17 tires just fine. I do have a 3 inch body lift in the closet in case I decide I ever want to go to 315/70/17's....
