Default Bad torque converter solenoid

2001 S1500 4x4. Got a bad torque converter code. Can I still tow my 5000 Lb trailer if I turn the overdrive off?

I wouldn't. You are suppose to have OD off when towing anyhow

Thank you. I know it is not recommended but would I be ok going from St Paul to Nortwest Arkansas if I turn overdrive off at this point. Unfortunately, the person I bought the trailer from had always left his on and never had a problem. First time I have owned a trailer this heavy.

You want to fix it before you go. Otherwise, you will likely end up on the side of the road with a burnt transmission.

What code are you getting?
