sorry forgot a few things... did the whole thing myself.... and excuse the welds... half a case through me and 3 days working in the cold.... welds are miged tripped up... made sure there wasnt a leak..even if it was shot with w/ a 12ga.

I pulled the Flowmaster 40 off my 5.9 after only 5months. I hated the sound. WOT it was a raspy hollow quality that gave me a headache (literally) Droned on the highway.
Magnaflow 3" h/f cat and 3" glasspack a big improvement in tone and sound at both idle and WOT. I dont have a recent sound file but last time at the dragstip the wife got a few of my passes on video, this pass she was on the exhaust side right by the wall so you get a pretty good idea of what it sounds like.

i would recommend magnaflow cause i have it and my dad has it both pleased w/ sound and on top of that our old 97 w/ flowmaster the system rotted out at the muffler.. LoL w/e it is all about preference im sure the flows dont rot anymore

Thanks, it really does come down to taste, both have their strong followings.
A buddy has a really built 408 with gsm headers an xpipe & flowmaster. I think his exhaust sounds wicked but the big @ss KRC236cam hes running doesnt hurt either.
