Default Ignition code to replace key

Hey all, lost the key to my Cummins! Woohoo nailed it, first time I completely lost a car key. I want to get the code for my ignition, I got a code from the dealer but it didn’t cut the key at all how it should’ve been, key only came out with 3 bumps on it nothing else

What year is your truck?

If the code from the dealer didn't work, I would suspect that the lock cylinder has been changed. Probably have to pull it, and have a locksmith cut you a key.

well I did have it cut as the chevy dealer I work at so that might be part of the problem, is there a code on the cylinder somewhere?

Not on the lock cylinder, locksmith would have to disassemble it, to see how to cut the key. (the tumblers are numbered.)
