starting problems

Default starting problems

have 01 dodge 4x4 with 5.2 automatic trans. my trans went bad so I removed it in march, finally found one for it but now it is November. got it all togeather and tried to start it. it ran for 3 seconds and stalled. hasn't run since. recentaly I have got it to offer to start if I rapidly pump the gas peddle. any help on this would be nice thanks

What did you do with the crank sensor while you were swapping the trans? They are frequent victims of that sort of work.

You gotta back to basics. Check for spark and verify fuel. Check all your connections. Its easy to accidentally unplug something as you're fixing or tightening something else.

I have checked the crank sensor and have replaced the pickup coil. I also checked the tps as well. there is fuel at the rail but I'm not sure on the pressure at this point, I have no way to test that yet.

Are you actually getting spark?

You tested the crank sensor, but are the wires pinched between the block and transmission anywhere ?
